After breakfast transfer to Delhi domestic airport to board flight for Leh, on arrival transfer to hotel in Leh. it will free day, you have to rest in the hotel whole day for acclimatization in high altitude, in evening you will visit Shanti Stupa and walk in old part of Leh city. Breakfast at Hotel and leave to visit Stok Palace Museum, the Queen of Ladakh still lives in this Palace and partly it has been converted into museum. More than palace it is the surrounding views of Barron Mountains and formation which are extraordinary. Gentle flow of Indus is another attraction, Afternoon a walk to the fort of ladakh. Breakfast at Hotel & drive to Shey, the summer palace of royal family, a lake in front of it. In front of it Holiness Dalai lama has also his Ladakh residence. A small drive ahead takes you to Thiksey where you can see the biggest Buddha statue. Finally to the most revered and richest monastery of Ladakh the Hemis, this monetary is nestled between two mountains and has many a thing of great importance. Return back to hotel for overnight stay.
AAfter breakfast drive 40 km, Alchi Monastery was built as a monument to the Second Spreading or the revival of Buddhism in Tibet, and remained unaffected by the wars and destruction in Ladakh primarily due to its strategic location. Unlike the hilltop monasteries in Ladakh, Alchi is built down in a valley on the banks of the Indus River. Founded by the great translator, Rinchen Zangpo, the highlight of Alchi is its five temples along with the delicate paintings of court life, battles, costumes and customs, epitomizing Buddhist at Evening drive back to Leh. Morning we drive to Hunder (135kms/ 5-6hrs.), over crossing the World’s highest motorable road ranging at 18380 feet – Khardung la. On arrival explore the white sand dunes and enjoy the double humped Camel ride. Overnight in Camp.
After breakfast visit the giant open Buddha statue at Deskit monastery and drive (155 Km/ 5 hrs) to Pangong lake (4,270m/ 14,000ft.) along Shayok river. Arrive explore the pristine lake. The main attraction of this circuit is the Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130 km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China.
Spangmik, the farthest point to which foreigners are permitted, is only some seven km along the southern shore from the head of the lake, but it affords spectacular views of the mountains of the Changchenmo range to the north, their reflections shimmering in the ever-changing blues and greens of the lake's brackish waters. Above Spangmik are the glaciers and snowcapped peaks of the Pangong range. Spangmik and a scattering of other tiny villages along the lake's southern Spangmik, the farthest point to which foreigners are permitted, is only some seven km along the southern shore from the head of the lake, but it affords spectacular views of the mountains of the Changchenmo range to the north, their reflections shimmering in the ever-changing blues and greens of the lake's brackish waters. Breakfast at camp and leave for Leh (170 Km/ 7 hrs), en route visit Chemre monastery. Arrive back at Leh & check in your hotel for overnight stay.
Morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight for New Delhi and further flight back to home.
